Plans Intro

16 Week Plan

 

Coaching is the option for individuals who want continuous feedback and contact with their coach. The program is our most comprehensive: we address your training, equipment, nutrition, psychology, tactical skills, and event preparation. You work closely with Jay to prioritize improvements in all facets of your game. Together we commit to doing whatever it takes to help you achieve your goals.

Contact by phone or email is minimally once per week, but there is no limit on contact time. Your training files are reviewed regularly and the schedule is adjusted accordingly.

Coaching clients have free and unlimited use of our fitness center during normal operating hours. All appropriate physiologic testing are included. Bike fit analysis is also included.

Coaching is available for Cycling, Triathlon, and Running. A limited number of coaching slots are available for 2008.

All coaching clients must have a copy of CyclingPeaks WKO+

Who will be my coach?

Jay Gump has a Ph.D. in physiology/biophysics and an M.S. in exercise physiology. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) and has been a USA Cycling elite level coach since 1997. In 2004, he was director of the Webcor Builders Professional Cycling Team that included top ranked domestic racer Chris Horner and T-Mobil San Francisco champion Charles Dionne. Jay has worked at the US Olympic Training Center and coached local and regional cycling teams.

Is there a minimum time commitment?

Although there is no minimum time commitment for coaching, in order for the coach-client relationship to be successful, athletes must be fully committed to the program.
